About the studio

Salt as a tool to preserve inspired so many connections when we started to see how often our fellow creatives are drawn to opportunities to preserve a moment in time, a specific memory, a special occasion, a current life chapter, and so much more.

The texture of salt is gritty. It’s a characteristic we know all too well as we’ve journeyed through the ups and downs of life. It’s something we are thankful for in ourselves and deeply admire in others.

Many of the qualities of salt are also the things we looked for while creating this community:

why salt?

Salt adds flavor. Just as salt enhances the flavor of a food, art enhances the quality of life. We created Salt Media Studios as a place for inspired creatives to come and bring to life whatever their imagination desires and to have the chance to add that art into the world.

Salt is valuable. At times throughout history, salt was so valuable that it was used as currency. What’s created here is exceptionally valuable, not deemed so by the dollar value of it but by the nature of what went into creating it. Endless hours of dreaming, of learning new skills and refining others, of bringing those dreams to life and finally gathering all the parts and pieces to one day make art happen.
